Founded in February 2016 as a no kill animal rescue, Dora’s Dawgs & Katz has rescued, rehabilitated, and found loving homes for more than 3,000 dogs and cats in need. While that number is meaningful to us, our true focus is on the care and quality of life of each individual animal rather than high volume adoption numbers. Our robust adoption program is designed to find the absolute best home for every animal, not just any home, which has resulted in some of the lowest return rates in the industry. In 2024 alone, we successfully placed 162 dogs and 104 cats into permanent homes. We rescue dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and health conditions, making us one of the most diverse rescue organizations in Texas.
