2026
is going to be a big year, and we’re here for it!
2026 is going to be AMAZING
Goals
Dora’s Dawgs & Katz has set ambitious but necessary goals for the year ahead: securing three corporate sponsors, welcoming 50 new volunteers, and raising $40,000 in donations to continue saving lives. These goals are not about growth for the sake of growth. They are about survival, stability, and the ability to say yes when an animal has nowhere else to go.
The reality is that we cannot reach these goals on our own. Dora’s Dawgs & Katz is a community-driven rescue, powered almost entirely by donations, volunteers, and local support. Every medical bill, bag of food, foster supply, and transport cost depends on people who believe in what we do and choose to stand with us.
Corporate sponsors play a critical role in keeping our doors open. Their support helps cover consistent operating costs, allowing us to focus donations directly on animal care. Without business partners stepping up, we are forced to operate month to month, never knowing if we can take in the next animal in need.
Volunteers are just as essential. No amount of funding can replace hands-on help. From daily care and cleaning to events, transports, and fostering, volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. Reaching 50 new volunteers means more animals cared for, more adoptions completed, and less burnout for the people already giving everything they have.
Fundraising is the final piece. Raising $40,000 allows us to plan ahead instead of constantly reacting to emergencies. It means providing medical care without delay, maintaining safe shelter conditions, and expanding our ability to rescue animals who would otherwise be turned away.
Dora’s Dawgs & Katz exists because the public chooses to care. Every donation, every shared post, every volunteer hour, and every business partnership directly impacts the lives of animals who cannot speak for themselves. These goals are only possible with community involvement, and with your help, they are within reach.
