Jenny Jean came to us a crusty, mangey, emaciated, feral zombie of a dog, right before the freeze last year in January 2025.
1 year later, fur lays on the spots that were once covered in blisters , her once vacant eyes sparkle with life, her fragile body that was once made of glass is now strong, solid & fully capable of a hardy body slam.
Jenny Jean has no intention of going back to street life..ever. Been there. Done that. A soft blankie, a chew bone & her bowl stocked with nutritious kibble is 5-star luxury. Being able to freely let loose, throw stuffy toys in the air, lay in warm laps of humans that also give her snacks for just the heck of it? Pure heaven. Jenny Jean doesn’t take a second for granted & basically roles her eyes at dogs that yap like all that ain’t good enough 🙄😂
Jenny Jean is deeply loyal to those who have created predictability, offered her grace & stability to form an impeccable bond. You’ll know Jenny Jean is comfortable around you when she does any of the following:
⭐️ flops onto your lap & rolls on her back like a deranged walrus
⭐️performs a full somersault to body slam you for no reason
⭐️backs her butt into your legs for a hardy booty scratch
⭐️slaps you with toys
⭐️mysteriously stares into your soul before happily trotting over to lean on you with her full body weight
Jenny Jean needs someone that empathizes that her past survival was dependent on being weary of humans. That most of her life, she could only rely on herself to keep herself alive. So don’t take it personally if you meet Jenny Jean & she acts like she couldn’t care less about your presence, ignores or avoids you. You have to understand that her lack of trust in humans, is what used to keep her alive.

Jenny Jean is heartworm positive, but don’t worry! It is 100% treatable & we provide adopters with the medication to do so. Heartworms is not a contagious condition & is preventable by administering your pets with monthly flea & heartworm preventatives.
At this time due to being heartworm positive, potential adopters must reside in the Kingwood area to ensure his treatment can be obtained.
