Papa Pasta

Meet PAPA PASTA🍝, just a meatball-headed puppy goin’ where life takes him & “life” dumped him off right inside our gates in November.

His deep bark, large stature & Rottweiler appearance makes everyone apprehensively ask “is he friendly?”

Papa Pasta isn’t just friendly; he’s goofy-big-puppy-stoked-to-make-you-his-best-friend friendly.

Despite his incredibly goofy, super-duper sized puppy energy, Papa Pasta is very biddable & quick-witted when it comes to training & has made history by being the quickest learner of the ‘down’ command.

That being said, clear boundaries & expectations can make or break what you think of Papa Pasta’s manners. I mean…he’s just a puppy & working through how to handle all that excitement & eagerness in such a large body 🤪❤️🐶

If you let him continue to move forward when he hits the end of his leash, then that’s what he’ll do. But if you take a few steps backwards, call him back to your side and reward him for walking near you on a loose leash, then he’ll happily do that too. His high drive to please humans & love for food makes for productive & fun training sessions.

Papa Pasta’s favorite game is TUG & he is dang good at it!! He has no problem approaching you with a big tug rope to ask you if you’ll play with him. If you ask him, he’ll sit politely when you throw the rope for him to fetch & bring back for another round 🧸🦴🥎

Unknown to us if Papa Pasta has ever experienced life in a home, we are pleased to say his crate is always accident-free 🚽❤️

Papa Pasta was dropped off with another female dog, Mama Mia (who’s also up for adoption), so we know he can get along with female dogs. Although, he’s shown to not be a huge fan of reactive males. Papa Pasta is definitely more human-oriented & would thrive in a home where he is either the only dog or with a female canine companion.

Papa Pasta 🍝 is the absolute sweetest & is already ranked as a favorite amongst folks who handle him. We have no doubt that his silly expressions & his stumpy tail fluttering will melt the hearts of the family who brings him home 🏠♥️

Papa Pasta is heartworm positive, but don’t worry! It is 100% treatable & we provide adopters with the medication to do so. Heartworms is not a contagious condition & is preventable by administering your pets with monthly flea & heartworm preventatives.

At this time due to being heartworm positive, potential adopters must reside in the Kingwood area to ensure his treatment can be obtained.
