Meet Basil 🌿 a 1-year old, string cheese/Chi mix.
Bashful at first, Basil warms up quickly when you involve rotisserie chicken in the mix. Once that part has been worked through, she blossoms into a fluttery-buttery, spring-loaded butterfly.
There are 2 sides to Basil’s personality:
*Side A* is a chaotic bunny whose number 1 mission is to jump high enough to land in your arms. Every day she practices how high she can jump, hoping one day her max hop will reach a height of over 6ft to clear the fence & straight to you. Nothing can deter her mission. Basil is passionate on this.
*Side B* is smug & relaxed. Eyes half open. Straight chillin’. Nothing can ruin this feeling for Basil…except being put down.
(As a side note, these pictures of Basil are split second moments in between Basil hurling herself at me in an attempt for me to scoop her. I have now 742 embarrassing photos of Basil on my phone. I’ll include one of them and let you guess which one is the blooper😉)
Toys are a foreign language & she’s kinda weirded out when throw one in an attempt to encourage her playful side. She plays great with her friend, Sage (also up for adoption), she just thinks humans are for holding, not playing 😅
Basil eats bowls of kibble as big as she is, and still looks like a sponsored string cheese model.
If you need a clingy, sweet & clumsy dog, then step on up because Basil needs a safe, loving home!
