Mama Mia

$0.00

A pretty pittie wrapped in a blankie with a heart of gold, please meet Mama Mia🎀.

This gal is searching for her very own emotional-support human.

Upon meeting her, it’ll be clear that Mama Mia has never met a stranger & everyone is her best friend.

Once she’s won over your attention, she’ll happily chill nearby with a chew toy, sit on top of you or take a pleasant stroll around the neighborhood. Human companionship soothes her soul & she doesn’t take for granted a second of time spent with her.

Mama Mia is very receptive to positive reinforcement whether that be a chew toy, a treat or simply just sweet talk and solid pets on her side. Her most annoying habit is jumping up when she’s excited to see you but that can be easily corrected by removing positive attention when she does & rewarding her with it when all four paws are planted on the ground.

Mama Mia was dumped at our rescue with Papa Pasta (also available for adoption), so we know she gets along with male dogs. However she does not seem to have an obvious preference when it comes to male or female. She appears comfortable around Papa Pasta & enjoys his company, but she is certainly a ‘people’s dog’ & not particularly interested in playing, picking human attention over a dog’s (which makes training easier).

While Mama Mia is super duper friendly & eager to please, it is important to implement structure & boundaries early on to keep her manners polite & in-check.

Mama Mia is looking for her human (or family) to be unapologetically obsessed with & will reciprocate all the love & loyalty she has to offer. She’d love a spot on the couch & a front seat in your heart. Don’t forget the chew bones & the snacks 🩷

♥️🐛➕Mama Mia is heartworm positive, but don’t worry! It is 100% treatable & we provide adopters with the medication to do so. Heartworms is not a contagious condition & is preventable by administering your pets with monthly flea & heartworm preventatives.

At this time due to being heartworm positive, potential adopters must reside in the Kingwood area to ensure her treatment can be obtained.
