Sage

Meet Sage🔮a 1-year old, a pocket-sized, Dachshund/Chi mix. The ‘Mission Impossible’ theme song starts playing when she scurries into a room. In a previous life, Sage was a spy whose job was to get crafty with escape plans. Once Sage loves you, there’s not a fence she wouldn’t climb, a hole she wouldn’t dig or a crevice she wouldn’t pancake herself through to get to you. 

There’s a catch, before you get the Sage that climbs TO you, you gotta deal with the Sage that climbs AWAY from you. Oh yeah, Sage is a bashful one at first. Maybe ‘play-hard-to-get’ is a better way of describing it. Think of it as, Sage wants to know what you’ve got FOR HER before she’s willing to do anything for YOU. Put down the dry biscuits because that ain’t the answer. Nah. Sage wants that rotisserie chicken fresh off the shelf, and kibble? Forgettabouttit. Sage thinks kibble is for emergencies only & will hide every piece in the event there is a tasty-food shortage. Otherwise? Canned food, no chunks, puréed please. 

Once you’ve got the right supplies, Sage will have no problem running right to you instead of away from you 🩷

Wormy & squirrely, Sage loves to play tag-chase with her gal-pal, Basil (also up for adoption). 

Children who are dog-savvy could work for Sage, but she will need some space to feel safe & secure before being in the middle of child-run chaos. Sage doesn’t appreciate being manhandled by overexcited strangers.
